Technically, my part of town hasn't had frost yet either. May as well have, everything is pretty well done (though nice to still have annuals). It looks like tonight or tomorrow will be the night. The good thing is any plants I want to save are now inside.

As for winter, I hate to be a nay sayer, but apparently there is evidence of an la nina (opposite of el nino) effect. But, it's probably too early to say what kind of winter it will be.

I too have yet to plant the fall bulbs. It's been cloudy, rainy, cool. I keep thinking if I find it cold now at +5c/41f, imagine winter.

Glen I was wondering if it was just me - we haven't had frost yet either. My Oriental lilies and canna are still green and making food, so that's good.

We had the s*** yesterday, not 2" of it, though! However, there have been years when we've had several inches of it just after Thanksgving - so we have something to be thankful for!
