    Killer looking figs Martin,

I just checked my little Martin unknown fot a figlet, none yet, But I bet next year I will.....ain't that what we say all the time?
But I did see a figlet on my other UCD 0/8 cutting (Kadota)
so I have gotten figlets on both UCD cuttings!

    wow martin,
    in chicago no less!
it looks almost exactly like a potted
fig i have here on long island
which i know comes from salerno,
    even the gray colored branches.
i will try to post pictures.
but here it is half gone with yellowed leaves.

    Marcantonio,
this one always ripend very late and leaves a good amount of unripe figs as the weather turns cold. Its sweet but has a large eye as some did split when we had that 9 inches of rain a dew weeks back, but more getting ripe and there nice and sweet and average about 3 ounces each, my largest one i posted picture on scale at 4 and a half ounce and still nice sweet. I look forward to see your pictures as i enjoy looking at fig tree's from all over.

Your Martins unknown looks a lot like gorgi's unknown that I was lucky to get a few yrs ago.

Nice looking fig thanks for shareing that picture. Just curious as your in a zone up from me does your tree leave many unripen figs . Curious as mine always ripens late as its more for a southern warmer climate.

Speaking on behalf of fortisi876, and recognizing his pic
(thanks) as my unkown_#1 (came from Malta), my older
specimen does ripen all the fruit here in NJ.

I should have added the comment: "so far" in my previous
    statement:
    >>> my older specimen does ripen all the fruit here in NJ.

Although it does some shallow-eye-spitting in moist
conditions, I agree with fortisi that it one of the
    many "sweet" figs.

This reminds me of my unkown_#3 (also from Malta),
that was more prolific, but the figs NEVER ripened
before frost here. 2-3 years ago, I sent a mature specimen
to "hotter" TX (you know who you are) for evaluation.
I am due for an update! Latest I heard, it was dropping
fruit down south; at what time of year?
Here it never dropped fruit, they just did not ripen.
Yes, I did keep a small sucker running in the background.
