Well, glory be! I finally have some seedlings from peony 'Honey Gold'.

There were three seedlings in total. They've been in a baggie of vermiculite for over a year, and the other day I finally planted them into actual pots with dirt. I'm not sure I have the patience for these.....

Wow Laurie, stubborn buggers, but oh how exciting for you! Did you have your baggie indoors in room temp all this time?

Mine never made it, I think they rotted, but will see, I have them sitting in the freezing greenhouse ;)

I had the pot in a plastic bag on the wall unit for 3 months, and now it is in the unheated garage with a constant temperature of 0 gr.C for another 3 months. If it gets warmer there, I cannot do anything about it.

The baggie sat on the hot water tank from Jan '07 to April '07. Then it went into the fridge until about July or August, and still nothing was showing for roots. I then read somewhere on the net, that they should have been at a temperature around 50F, so I then threw them in the potato bin/cold room. Sure enough, I finally noticed some roots about a month ago. So maybe in about 10 years, I may see a bloom......and with my luck, it'll be butt ugly!lol
