Oh, Silvia, your garden looks beautiful. I see the borage is still doing very well. My tomato plants are only half that size. What date did you plant them? Did you say Nov or Dec? I started mine mid-Jan.

Do you have any ground tomatoes planted? The seeds you gave me started sprouting. I hope its not to late to get a crop.

    Looking forward to more pictures.

You guys are killing me with all these great looking photos. I hurt my finger (eleven stitches) in Feb and haven't been able to do much. But, I will catch up! :)

Sylvia, your garden is lovely... and huge! I cannot wait till those flowers bloom. I love the way you've incorporated them in with the veggies. Please let us see them when they do, ok?

Swilly-willy!!! I'm comin' to YOUR house for SALAD!! Yum!! It all looks great, and I love your neatly tended raised beds! I still haven't gotten into growing veggies, but once I get the rest of my yard back in shape (the big beds that were decimated by the freeze), I just might have to try a potager bed, at least! And by hook or crook, I'm going to have some borage! I suppose I should plant seeds in the fall, right? Doesn't it decline in hot weather?

Sumala, I'm sorry to hear of your injury! Hope it is soon mended good as new. I've not been a stranger to stitches, steel pins, bandages, and general painful extremities this past year, so I feel your pain!! Hope it isn't your dominant hand...I would hate to have to get along using mostly my left one. Get well soon!

And Swilly-willy, thanks for sharing the pictures of your beautiful garden! One day I hope to see it for myself!

Thanks, I am glad you liked the pictures.

We always try to share the bounty of the garden. It looks small but provides us with a lot of food.

The garden changes in a day sometimes. After I took the pictures, the sunflower open up.
When the flowers start to bloom I will take another picture.

    Looking forward to harvest!

Thank you. I have been starting and planting tomatoes at different weeks. This way if something happens to them, I have others to replace them. Sort of like insurance. Some I started in December.

It is not too late for the ground cherry, I have 2 seedlings planted it and I am going to start more to fill the spot. You are going to like the fruit, if we are successful. It has no comparison to the other ground cherries.

I planted borlotto beans, hildora beans and tour zipper creams around the borage, it is taking the heat well and the beans are going to provide some shelter.

I will post more pictures as the season progresses.

    Sumala
I am sorry about your finger. Get well soon so you can post pictures too. :o)

Yesterday we had company and I made dinner with a lot of things from the garden. One of then was a salad with the watermelon radishes you recommended. They looked great sliced thin in a salad.

I am glad you liked the garden. The flowers should come in full bloom soon. I planted a pack of flowers native to the area. I will post a picture of this.

Thanks for your comments. And I hope you get a good tomato season!

Remember you are due for a visit, anytime you want to come, let us know.

The packet in the borage says "plant after all danger of frost is gone". Well, I planted direct sowing with the winter greens and got the frost and did good. No sign of problems. It is still going strong.
In Phoenix I used to plant them with shade cloth with the tomatoes.

Good luck with the planning of your garden.

What a nice Garden!! I am green(excuse the pun) with envy!!
I bet you can't wait to start picking and eating those yummy vegies!!

I am sooo excited!! I found a few "very tiny" little growths on my Mango tree that was damaged "severely" by the freeze. By the time I trimmed all the dead branches off, I literally only had five leaves left on the whole tree, lol! The tree went from 6ft to 3ft! Please keep your fingers crossed for me...at least I know its got life in there somewhere. Two of my other mangos are recovering nicely, a lot better that the one above...

    Thanks for the great pictures!!

    Hi Puglvr
Thanks. I have seen your beautiful flowers too. So, no need to be (green) lol.

We went to Leu yesterday and bought 2 mangoes. One is the Nam Doc Mai and the other a Carrie.

Here is the plan: I will grow them in pots, make them strong and later plant them.

I am glad about your mango, and hope it survives for you and gives you a lot of mangoes.

This morning I found little fruit on the Brogdon avocado and I was very happy.

If you happen to be in the area, you are very welcome to come to my house and take a look at the gardens and fruit trees.

Thanks for the kind offer! If I'm ever on that neck of the woods...I would love to see your beautiful garden and trees!!

Congrats on your baby avocadoes and your new Mango trees, sounds like a good plan getting them a little more established and bigger!

I'll keep you posted if the tree continues to recover.
