I had some go all winter in a jar of water. I had great results just now putting some cuttings in pots - I poked a hole in the soil, dropped some water gel crystals in the hole (already hydrated) and then tucked the cuttings in. Roots took hold within two days, in a week they were solid and taking full sun.

Coleus are very easy. Just cut the growing tips with at least three sets of leaves and put into a jar of water. When the cutting has rooted, you can pot it up.

Rooting Coleus in water, especially now that summer is here, will room in a matter of days. After roots are about 1"+, it's safe to plant in pot. Toni
