Hi Jeanette,
I grafted up a couple of pieces that were sent to me last winter, and I have to admit they have passed me by since. The colour is dark green right now, so I suppose the change must be the new growth in the spring, but I can't remember seeing anything special about them at that time. Still it's early days yet.

I just recieved one of these from conifer kingdom. Nice specimen, anyone have experience with it? I'm wondering about light, water and growth rate. Thanks.

I just planted it a few weeks ago. It was yellow but now has reverted to green..... it gets 6 -7 hours of morning sun and some after shade

Here is picture. I also contacted Conifer Kingdom about the conifer and will report back when I receive answer.

Mine's in the ground a few years, nicely pale-yellow tipped. It gets afternoon shade. I'm 9b in a Mediterranean climate (very dry air in summer; even with irrigation can't duplicate a humid environment) so not sure if my experience will be similar to anyone else's. No burning.

Thanks Sara, perhaps I'll give it time to settle in?

I have to give my conifers plenty of water for the first couple of summers to avoid burning - sometimes it happens anyway with some of the more tender ones. Once they establish a root system they do fine. The yellows are often difficult to site - too much sun and they burn; too much shade and they don't turn yellow. I wouldn't make any judgment after only a few weeks. See what happens next growing season. If still no yellow, it may need more sun.
