Spider Mites

Hi All,

We had a cold front blow through yesterday. As I was cleaning up around the trees, I found a spider mite on the leaf of a Nazarti tree. It was hiding underneath a leaf from another tree which had blown onto the Nazarti so it was on the surface and easy to get shots of.

I pulled the web back on the nest to show the eggs.

This one was in Texas... everything is bigger in Texas. She was about 3/8 of an inch long.

Believe it or not, this is a Sony point and shoot. I bought it specifically for the super macro feature. I think it focuses down to about 1cm.

I think that it is a 'spider' all right (a nice one too,
of the jumping kind); but it is not a 'spider mite'...
