Please guide on these VARIEGATED perennials.

Hi.

Just wanted to know if anyone can provide a good pic of any of these variegated plants. Google didnt return any good pics for most of them. Please also guide if they can be grown in a hot and dry clime. (35 deg cel)

re arum italicum var pictum, try google "arum italicum pictum", leave out the "var" part, and click on IMAGES, there are many.

I collect hardy Geraniums and rare and unusual outdoor plants. Our temperature is very cold in the winter. The other night is was down to - 20 degrees Celsius here. You are welcome to contact me if you think we can swap anything.

Be very wary of the Hypericum: you may find it to have weedy tendencies under the hot/dry climate.

Lachenalia - need winter rain and summer dry. If that matches your environment, then you'll probably do well with them.

The rue is a good possible.

For many of those you've listed - they'll survive the heat but the groundwater will be the limiting factor - and whatever shade you can provide.

If you have a septic tank system with a leachfield, or a greywater disposal system, you may well be able to enjoy many of these.
