I just love heavenly blues and hummers...great picture! Were you sitting there with the camera waiting patiently? :)

Lavendrfem - I take that camera all over the garden with me in case a hummer comes by! :)I've missed them more times than I can count. . .But when I heard that familiar buzzing/humming, I stopped weeding and grabbed the camera. Trouble is, the vines have completely covered the top of the arbor, so I had to wait until he came out to the side to get the shot. Even then, I was shooting into the sun, so I couldn't even see if I had him!

Well, it is a terrific shot! Even if you were "shooting blind"!! ;o)

Oh, this is gorgeous! Gives me lots of ideas! I have those same morning glories, but I need to put an arbor or arch. I think it would look better. I also have a hummingbird garden, on the other side of my yard. I make my own feeders from glass bottles, and the nectar as well. I have tons of hummers as a result!

Beautiful arbor and a terrific picture. I love it! Thanks for taking the time to share the pics. I should carry my little camera around too as I get so many fun birds in the garden. Your idea of carrying it around is great.
