This is a German fig that's available in German nurseries.

    Sorry here's the translation:

Medium strong and buschig growing, no plant protection necessarily, since diseases and parasits hardly arise. Medium sized one, blunt-conical, violet-blue, light blue bereifte fruits, flesh pink, very sweetly, juicy and vitaminreich, ripe time August until Octobers. The "Pfälzer fruit fig" wishes a warm, protected location in good humosen soil, if possible before a warm wall. It is frost hard up to -15 degrees Celsius. But it must be sufficiently gewässert in September/October. A winter protection from Reisern or straw is optimal in the lower range of the fig.

Bass, hope you don't mind but thought I'd try to polish up the machine translation:

Medium vigor and bushy, no sprays or pesticides needed since diseases and pests are rare. Fruit is shaped like a bowling pin, with violet-blue skin frosted with light blue, pulp is pink, very sweet, juicy and rich in vitamins, ripens August to October.

The "Pfälzer" (Palantine) fig does best in a warm, protected location with humus rich soil, in front of a warm wall when possible. ItÂs hardy down to -15° C, for which it should be adequately watered in September/October. For best winter protection mulch the base of the fig.

So Where did you find this fig?

A German gardener promised me a cutting from this fig. It seems one of popular German fig. Seems like it does well for German climate.

Well I do not understand German, and I was only looking
for some good pictures, but all I saw was unripe green figs.
Any better sites about this fig?

I'm new to this forum and until now I' ve only read here for a few months. It's a very interesting forum and it's a pity that there is no comparable forum in Germany, may be there are not enough fig-crazy people.
I have a 'Pfälzer Fruchtfeige' or 'Palatine fruitfig' (sounds strange this translation) in my collection, but no pictures yet.

    Please excuse my terrible English.

Wow, that almost looks like a TyTy picture. Based on the description, it appears as though those pictures are of the Breba crop. I think I might have to make some room in the background for this one.

German Figfriend, does this fig taste as good as it looks?

Babelfish translation of the site above:

    Pfaelzer fruit fig

Hand-rising up, sweet-tasting sort out of the Pfalz, because of their robustness in the best way for the back garden suitably.
Fruit: Red-blue bowl and red, sweet fruchtfleisch. Reliably each year carries at favorable locations. This sort is twice: At the end of June mature in the previous year the formed fruits; the fruits of this year mature at the end of of Septembers. Well developed, brown, soft fruits have the full flavour.
Tree: Bush-well-behaved stature to approximately 4 m height, beautiful, large, shining, handfoermig varied sheets. Selffruitfully.
Requirements at location and climate: Prefers wind-protected, sunny and warm situations; can be cultivated at the protected location in Northern Germany. Regarding winter frosts is not very sensitive the fig, temporary temperatures to -15° C quite stands it. Cowardly ones are also very well suitable as a kuebelpflanze.
Special references: Diseases and parasits hardly arise with figs. The fruit formation is remarkable: during the vegetation time at the same time constantly new blooms and fruits are put on. With its beautiful leaves the fig is besides one expressed decorative plant. Strong, two-year plant, with root bundles. Height on supply 60-80 cm.

I'm sorry James but I didn't have fruits until now, may be next year.
You're right, for me the pics seem not to be authentic too.

It looks like the babelfish translation is a little bit more terrible than my English.
