yes, I have sewn mine at times -- with good results.

To me, Bamboo sounds too light to hold it in place. Those pins they sell you don't work either, once the wind picks up. I use rocks and fire wood to hold mine down.

As far as a contraption to fit it over, the best I've found is those hoops from Johnny's that have loops in them -- you tie string through the loops, from one hoop to another, to create a low tunnel frame.

Thanks elisa! I'm holding it down with bottles and stick and one brick.....Guess I'll keep doing that. One sheet is ripping, so it looks like not worth it to try to sew into it anyway
