I haven't seen a ground hog since I lived in northern Pa. My dad was always fighting them. I would think they would wander and eat anything in their way. Just my opinion.

There is no way to live in harmony with groundhogs. They nearly totally decimated my garden one year. People have driven them away with ammonia-soaked rags or used cat litter in their holes, from what I have read. We trapped ours and removed them to a state park. They don't always survive being moved, but I didn't want to kill them unless I had to. You have to trap them before there is a plentiful supply of fresh produce to choose from, or they won't go in the trap. Northwoodswis
