Figs are easy to root. It may be that the roots were insufficient to support the leaves that were on the plant. Just keep it properly watered and see if it recovers.

All my fig babies are presently in the dormant mood (all leaves dropped).
Your little fig cuttings probably are in the dormant stage too!

Thanks for the info. One of the 4 has dropped all its leaves but i will keep fingers crossed and hopefully not overwater.

Older Fig trees do benefit from going dormant. But newly rooted trees should have no problem growing for at least a year without going dormant. Leaf drop can be many factors, root development, too dry, too wet, fertilizer, insects, especially fungus gnats in which their young eat roots killing a tree, or a host of other things. Baby them the best you can and hopefully you'll have some nice trees by spring.
