Help! What counter will look good with a marble backsplash???

I am moving into a new house soon and want to redo the kitchen. I know that I want a carrara or calacatta marble subway tile back splash. I am also installing an island- so 2 types of counter tops is a possibility. What type of counter tops go well with these marbles? I like matte finishes!

How about a black countertop to allow the marble backsplash to really stand out? Something like this, perhaps? I believe it is a soapstone countertop.

I'd consider the same marble on the island as you're using for the backsplash.
