There's one in Archer, west of Gainesville.

THANKS so much for that info. That will be a nice drive up to Gainesville.

I think that if not pruned (or crepemurdered :) ) that most crepe myrtles are trees.

Hi Leah, Every year, I prune the hell out of the crepe myrtles I have, TRYING to get them to grow like a tree, but they still keep growing like bushes. :(

Natchez has grown into a very nice tree in my yard in the 2nd year after planting. Not very bushy at all. As it gets even larger I plant to prune the little branches at the bottom. I also know that some crape myrtles stay small and bushy. Here is a good site for info about the different kinds and their growth habits

THANKS for the tips and info amberroses. I appreciate it.

Crape Myrtles Inc., also doing business as Crape Myrtle Farms and Lagerstroemia.com, has had some fairly lousy ratings on Garden Watchdog over the past few years. 2 negative:1 positive over the past 12 months. 12 positives, 2 neutrals and 14 negatives total.

I bought my Crape Myrtle tree from Summerwood Gardens in Odessa. Are you near them, aflorida? They couldn't have been more helpful to me! Great value too!
I don't know if they have any tree forms this season. Details below.
