I bought an 'edible lily bulb' from Ranch 99 (large local asian supermarket chain) in the produce department. After being in my refrigerator for some time, I decided to plant it and see what happens. Then I forgot about it. Until today! I see fat green tips poking up out of the soil where I planted this lily bulb! I completely didn't expect anything to come up! I have no idea (possibly l. davidii?) what type of lily this is, but who cares! I originally bought it with intent to possibly, actually, eat it, but...oh who am I kidding! I wanted to grow it! Or see if I could, anyway. I'll keep you posted!
