Ever the sucker for a pretty flower, when I was at Lowe's on Friday I succumbed & purchased a very lovely primrose... which I have no idea what to do with! I've never grown them before, so I know basically nothing about them. Scans through my gardening books & a few Internet searches have left me as befuddled as ever. Has anyone grown primrose? I believe what I bought was a English primrose. What I'd like to know is if it's safe to plant it outside. I don't really need another houseplant (I already have a dining room full of them), and I was hoping to brighten up my dismal front bed with a few colorful flowers...
