I love foxgloves and they are well worth growing! They are extremely easy to grow from seed, and are a biennial, meaning that normally they aren't going to bloom the first year (but well worth the wait). I've had some live for 3 years, but I don't think they'll go much past that here...As an experiment, I planted some in full sun last year and today I noticed that those looked burnt. The one's in partial shade look great.

Foxgloves are easy to grow, as long as they have partial shade and enough water. They bloom beautifully here in Zone 7 starting around April 20, until June. They self-sow plentifully, and are very easy to grow from seed. I don't know if they would perform that well in Zone 8. They probably would do well, as long as it doesn't get too hot.

Plant some this year and plant some next year. That way you should have blossoms annually if they are happy with the location. Help them spread by crushing the dried seed pod and flinging the dust-like seeds far and wide.
