Walkable path plants

So for those who remember me, long time huh. Boo ;)

Anyway, I'm trying to clean up the yard some more, and would like to get something growing around the paths in the yard which can handle a little walking on by me and the dogs, since the dwarf mondo takes FOREVER to fill in without just buying a bajillion pieces to sprig all over.

I was looking at the various creeping thymes, golden wooly crimson, and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for down here (I'm intown Atlanta).

The main area would be lots of midday and afternoon sun, more indirect in mornings and late evenings.

Hey K, how's it going!?!

Now you should be attempting to grow dwarf mondo in some shade. So thyme won't work very well there. Or maybe the mondo is taking forever because it's in full, hot sun? My dwarf mondo doesn't do as well when it's in full-hot sun. However my thyme rocks. Golden thyme is my best often called Archer thyme.

Hey GGG...doing great, just been busy as heck but want to get a jump on this season at least.

The sun would be part of the issue, because some of the path is shaded much more heavily because of a tree, or lee of the pond edging etc.

Hmm time to mix more stuff up again then. I'll yank up the path blocks, clear weeds and plant some thyme in the sunny areas and move mondo as needed. Whee.

Anyone got extra creeping thyme now? :) Time to start looking for sales hehe.

My neighbor has dwarf mondo planted with golden creeping jenny and it looks great. The creeping jenny is definitely filling in faster than the mondo.
