I'm worried about my pines. They are 3 years old and a good height now. I still have them staked after the ice storm last December when some of them were pulled right out of the ground.

I had some sleet between and 8 and 9pm but the temps are warmer at this point tonight than the same time last night. There may be patches of ice scattered around tomorrow, but its too warm for anything right now.

I covered the veg with sheets and then on top of that old shower curtains. Fingers crossed, I'm not much worried about the rest. I remember many years ago when we first moved here the big freeze. We had no heat for 2 weeks, and we spent the day chipping ice from the daffs :)

Whew! No ice or sleet here, just drizzling rain. I hope everyone else fared as well.
