Cold feet - NOT!

Got the feet made, painted and on the cabs - finally!

{{gwi:765356}}

We made the cabinet under the sink a drawer and I love it! It is so convenient to just pull it out and drop stuff in the garbage or lift out the cleanser or dw soap. DH still needs to tweek the front a bit. And I am looking for a metal fabricator to make white powder coated panels for the dishdrawers. I don't really like the raised panels now that we didn't do them on the drawers. Plus I dislike the dust that collects on them. DH thinks they look fine since the upper doors are similar. What do you guys think?

Next are the open shelves on the beadboard backsplash. Yay!!!

Criminy! Just ignore this post. I was on the kitchen forum but had this page open, too. I am so sorry! Can I blame it on the paint fumes I've been smelling for months? lol!

I just saw this on the kitchen forum and left you a message over there.

Everything looks really great to me, Diana. I like the look of the paneled drawers very much, even though the other drawers aren't the same.

Oh my gosh Diana ~ You should be posting this here also. I have been wondering about your kitchen especially since you got your new stove last year. I LOVE your kitchen cabinets and I can't wait to see the open shelves on the bead board walls. I think you just inspired me to get up and wash dishes. I am the dishwasher. The only thing about washing them in the dark is that I can't see out into the secret garden.

I don't see why we can't post pictures of our cottage/and or cottage garden inspired homes here in the gallery or in the conversations side. I am thankful you made a mistake and posted your pictures here.

I just posted on your other thread too, lol. I'll link it here.

I really wish I'd thought of that drawer idea! I bet a lot of people are going to copy that in the future! Good for you!!!

Looks great to me! I love the look of the raised panels . . .

Diana, I was admiring the dish washer drawer fronts and then was suprised to read your comment about not liking them. I really love them.I think the fronts add even more charm to your kitchen. I can't wait to see more. I read the k forum too. Are you DIY? or DH I should say? Awesome kitchen.Sue

Diana, glad you posted here; I wouldn't have seen it in the kitchen forum...I love everything about it! Looks just perfect to me. I have a new Bosch DW and still can't get used to loading it!

I have been wondering how you like the new range.

Ah, you guys are so sweet. : ) Thanks for all the nice compliments on my ooops! post (too funny, Tracy). I've had so much going on lately I sometimes think if a bird had my brain it'd surely fly backward.

Sue, yes, we're almost totally DIY. I'm right in there alongside DH with the power tools - love them!

gldno, I LOVE my Wolf! Do I need all that power every day? no. Do I care? NO!

I'll link to more pics of our progress so far. Just click on the Kitchen link near the top of the page. We're nearing the end - whoo hoo! : )

Oh, Diana, the website is beautiful! What a wonderful labor of love.

The kitchen is simply gorgeous and I am loving the red handles on the Wolf. What a great touch!

The cabinets and island turned out beautifully. Hats off to the team of Diana and Mark!

Your gardens, and the view, are just sublime.

Will you adopt me? :-) LOL

Thanks, Marilyn and GGG! I finally got around to getting that site published. I can be so lazy when it comes to organizing pics and getting them posted.

The stove is a little messy from chili and corn bread makings yesterday. But it was worth it. : )

Marilyn, just bring the Vitamin "C" and you're in! lol!
