I recognise the white one;the petals have a pink tinge. Im sure Ive gown that one.

Couldnt tell you the names, there are thousands of varieties of pelargoniums!

The pink tinge on the white is there only because it shares the pot with another that's got a lot of pink in it so some of the flowers end up getting cross polinated from time to time. When placed by itself or with the magenta, the flowers are pure white.

I dont know about that fizzig.
My all white pel from years ago would sometimes throw up the odd pink tinged flower, and it was a nursery plant.
Also my white rose Iceberg, famed for its white flowers also would do the same thing some seasons.

That may be. Was just saying that my experience is diff't with the white. All my white ones originated from the same plant. So there's really no reason other than odd cross pollination that they come up with pink coloring in them. Usually only the flowers close to the pink & white one, too. They share a pot. I have white ones next to the magenta geranium that never show any color but pure white. That one is a cutting from the parent that shows the odd pink tint evey now and again. I gave a friend cuttings from that white one showing pink once in a while... She put it in a pot all by itself and has never seen anything but pure white flowers.

Soooo... I think the bees are just trying to mess with things ;)

Either way, they're neat. The odd pinkish coloring adds character ;)

You know it could be sun exposure that does it.Be an interesting experiment,one in sun,one in shade! ;)

In my experience it isn't. When I take them in the for the winter, they bloom the same indoors. The white ones maintain their pure white blossoms in the pot they share with the magenta and toss in a pink tinted flowers every now and again in the pot they share with the pink & white pellie. They don't get the same sunlight indoors that they do outdoors during the winter months [nov. - march].

It's an interesting phenomenon that's for sure.
