Thanks Westender...I would love some. I live down in SW corner of Ga..do you think they will thrive here? I know they can spread like bamboo, but I have a spot where they can do their thing. I have a son living in Roswell, and he might be able to pick them up.

Last spring I planted just a couple of very small nubs that I bought from the farmers' market. Granted, I put them down in a very nice soil, well-amended with horse manure, but the harvest was a little ridiculous! Bushels! They grew about 12 feet tall, or was it 15? I couldn't measure. They were beautiful, I'll say that. They did need to be tied up, though, but that might have been because my soil was so loose and friable. Otherwise, once they got really tall, when we had rain and storms, they toppled over. Of course, that also caused lots of side branches to form, which meant even more flowers. . . . nature does know what she's doing, doesn't she??
