Culinary Herb Plants

Good morning y'all!

I must admit I'm feel a bit silly asking this question, but this is very important to me. So at the risk of being publically silly (again), here goes.

I try to only buy non-GMO products and food. If I buy seeds, I buy heiloom seeds.

I want to start a culinary herb garden and I was considering buying the plants at a nursery, or home depot, Whole Foods - where ever I happen across them.

If I buy herbs at these places, what are the chances that any of these would be GMO plants? Do y'all have any recommendations on this matter with regard to culinary herbs?

If it says organic, it should be GMO free. Don't forget that GMO's are only in certain foods and certain plants at this time, mainly soy beans, rice and corn and anything that consumes it. Sure if those were composted and the plants planted in that compost, they COULD (but I don't know how it would effect them) take that up.
It is my understanding that the IMFlowers company works hard for organic non-GMO plants. That is what Wholefoods sells.
I bought organic Rosemary plants from Bonnies plants at Lowes. They came in nice paper containers however, they don't even feature the cultivar name on them which is disappointing.
