I have the cultivar 'Leprechaun' and I also noticed some winter burn. I think we just had some colder temps than usual (and prolonged periods of cold). If you already have some in partial shade, I would not worry about moving them. Wait until it warms up more and then prune off the dead parts (you don't want to do it sooner and encourage any new growth as a result).

Thanks. I will try leaving them be for another season. The stems are not dead, just ALL the leaves brown and falling off. They seemed ecstatic where they were, a lot of new growth, deep green and wham, toasted. I couldn't decide if it was the temps or sun.
