Yes there is hope this early in the year. My yard received 5 hailstorms last summer, just awful. Early spring ones still allow enough time for plants to recover, late summer ones do not! You will have to research what to use, but if the hailstones just damaged leaves you're okay, but if the stems are bruised and damaged you need to watch out for rot or black areas (fungi and bacterial being splashed up from the soil) because that may continue to harm the plants through the summer. I cut back what looked real poor, and new axial growth kicked in for a new display of flowering (but time is the key here). This year I am keeping a 'spare' cutting of each of my overwintered geraniums as a backup for fall cuttings, in case our area has the same bad luck with weather as we did last year.

Thanks for the response. I cleaned off all the really badly shreaded leaves and they seem to be responding well. Not as big as they were before the storm, but still hanging in there.
