Senna pruning is tough because I'm always worried about baby caterpillars. IMO the best time is deep winter when the fewest butterflies are present but reality requires pruning when necessary.

I only hard prune in the winter however.

I have 2 types, one blooms almost continually, the other blooms spring and fall.

Thanks for the thinking. I wasn't thinking of cats since it is pretty much done blooming for the year. I suppose it is still larval food even though the adults can't nectar.

I'll go for a light trim to get the seed pods off, and leave it at that.
