I planted four inch containers of Rozanne last spring. The plants were very small and I was doubtful they would make it. However they quickly took off and bloomed all summer. So far this year, my plants are approximately 30 inches wide and quickly outgrowing their space. I have them in an area that receives morning sun and afternoon shade. The foliage stayed fresh looking all summer. I have read that in full sun the foliage may need to be sheared back during the summer as they start to look ratty. I would suggest you try the area that receives some shade and buy the smallest least expensive plants you can find since these are quick growers.

I'll let you know in a month or two if full sun works here in NH for Rozanne--that is, if we ever see the sun again.

I tried both and would highly recommend half shade ! In full sun, my Rozanne had a more pinkish colour, and didn't look so lush as the one with afternoon sun only, and, of course, cooler soil...

Ditto on the half shade recommendation.

Thanks for all your responses! I bought two of them and placed one next to the driveway, and the other in the damp area. But after receiving your responses, I moved the one from the driveway to the other area. I figured that the full sun, the dry slope and the heat from the asphalt, the poor little guy wasn't going to make it. Thanks for helping me save him!
