I always plant my left over and misplaced bulbs this time of the year. Just planted 200 Crocus amd some Iris retics this AM. Most will produce foliage this year, but few blooms. I usually top dress them with a small amount of balanced slow release(4 months) fertilizer, such as 15-15-15 and then an application of 6-12-12 in the Fall. They should bloom normally next Spring. My Spring(2005) planted bulbs are blooming now, along with their long established counterparts. I still have a lot more to to plant, but have to wait on the batteries for my drill to recharge(that's my excuse for taking a break!).
