Hello all! Lowes for the past month or so brought in a number of fruit plants... They were in one gallon containers and all dormant, the price was $10

They had figs, blackberry, blueberr, grape, and kiwi, all of different varrieties.

So I ended up buying blueberry and raspberry for $10 each.

I kept them inside and they sprouted out really well.

Well the department of agriculture came in and told them they could not sell them at full price since ssome of the plants started to "sprout out"

First they lowered the price to $4 each, then $2 each on the clearence rack!

I caught them the last day and bought FOUR golden raspberries for less than the price of ONE!

Did anyone else get ahold of any of these?

Also home-depot had fruit plants for $9.98, they came with two small cuttings per box and had big pretty pictures.

This will be my first year with any fruit except for fig/strawberry.

And now, I have four blueberries(three different types) four golden raspberries, one thornless blackberry and one grape vine!

AHHH! I'm already short on space so I've made an extended bed for my raspberry patch and sacrificed strawberry land for the blueberry patch..

Anyone else get any of those plants and have anything to say bought them?

Also, I read a great ay to make blueberry cuttings called " walling" where you build a wall around the base of the plant and then put peat or vermiculite, then two months later remove the wall and you have like 10 new rooted blueberry stems! WHAT A DEAL!
