Nice winter plants/flowers

I'm looking for a plant/flower that looks nice in the winter. I have a lot of perennials that look nice in the spring and summer, but come winter they're just brown. I have gardenias in the back of this flower garden, and those are fine. One is green and the others are yellow. It'd be nice to find something to plant in between the flower that makes the garden look nice all year!

Sun - from sunrise until about 2:00pm. It's in front of my house, so sunny til the sun crosses over.

Hellebores, and they bloom just before bulbs get started (usually)... My blackeyed susans also leave green leaves all winter, but that may depend how far north you are.
