Thanks. I finally succumbed and draped some black velvet over my loom.

This is the second blooming on this plant (last time was late fall) and the flowers are much more orange (and less red) than last time.

I'm thinking I should probably pot it up a size, as it's getting pretty rootbound.

I've gotta try the black fabric. Loom? Do you weave, then? I tried that once and I was very very glad I could buy stuff at the store. I'd be very cold if I had to rely on my efforts!

Your Sinningia looks really nice (and it's a great photo, too!) By looking at your plant, I suspect mine could use a little less sun and a little more water. Mine's leaves have a "grown hard" look that's not as pretty as your plant's look.

Mo - "used to" weave is more like it. I love to do it and wish I had the time and space, but the plants seem to have taken over lately.

Jen - possibly less light, but certainly not more water. Mine are severely underwatered.... In fact, I think I may have completely dessicated some of the roots and so that's another reason I'm thinking about pulling it out of the pot.

I keep telling myself that I need to get some black fabric to photograph my plants in front of. It's just so easy to snap the pictures while they're on their plant stands, though.lol Sometimes I KISS to much. lol

For a while I slipped a sheet of black paper behind the light stand so I could really KISS! When I got the black fabric, I considered hanging it "permanently" behind the light stand but decided against it - the light loss would be significant and I have precious little to start with.
