I did look up this tree. The listing made it look like a gorgeous tree except that the listing also stated it's #1 complaint was heat.

It's a strange tree, but very beautiful in winter. The bark really stands out and it has a lot of red in it. The biggest thing I miss about home is that the woods have no "depth" here except when dogwoods bloom. Hemlocks (which I will plant), white birch, moosewood give that depth. I have done research and it is my understanding that if the roots are kept cool/shady you can grow moosewood, and I am in north GA with a decent spot for shaded roots. It's zoned native about an hour north of me, but thought I'd ask. I've never seen one growing in GA and try not to plant things that have to struggle.

I saw it at a nursery but of course that means zilch.
