I got out for a few hours - wonderful to be outside after such a rainy Saturday (although we needed it!). I planted azaleas and a camellia, some ferns and sarcococca in my white/shady bed.

My 4-yr old came out and helped me transfer "his" seedlings to "his" beds. He has corn, melon, giant pumpkin, and some perennials. We have part shade--deep shade everywhere, so I am not holding out much hope for the fruit/veggies!

I have azaleas, osmanthus, lots of irises, anemones and trillium flowering. we bought the house last year and the front yard was overgrown with ivy, which we have mostly cleared. I've started to plant in earnest this year, and we have a few existing shrubs, bulbs and perennials that we freed from the ivy. There's a lot of work to do still!

i too managed to get out and do some work both saturday and sunday (i fought through the rain part of saturday).

i discovered a dozen or so mayapples coming up on the "woodland walk" themed side of my house. they are so cool looking when they come out of the ground! i got a ton of weeding done, pulling chickweed, burnweed and dandelions out of the yard, and a lot of clovers, chickweed and ragweed around the base of my trees and in my beds.

bibb lettuce, arugula and carrots started to sprout. i'm finding anise hyssop all over the edges of my beds, not sure where it came from, but i'll probably capture it up and plant it out back (draws a lot of pollinators). noticed that last cold snap managed to nuke my single purple basil and take out two of the three stalks my sweet basil had going. :\

looking forward to finishing up the wall in my front yard in the next coupleof weeks and planting that out.
