I cant give you a name but it looks like one of the many ivy pelargoniums, it may be quite old hence the woody base. they are beautiful plants with a trailing habit so you can grow it in a pot or hanging basket and let it trail down and they can be planted in the garden and easily trained as a climber aswell if you have a suitable climate.

Yes, this is VERY woody..hard wood! The main vine is nearly four foot long, and about 3 foot 9 inches is all wood! Seems most of the flowering/leaves are near the ends. I think I should try to get a couple starts off of this. The poor baby hasn't had much sun of late, I think.

hi mon, they are very easy to grow from cuttings, I have a about 4 different colours of ivy pelargonium all grown from cuttings that I collected (no idea about the names of any of them :) ) if you can find some nice firm growth at the ends, not too soft but not woody they will grow very easily
