What do you feed your sunflower with ??? wow.....

Beginning of the season I till 6 month time release fertilizer.

Once a week, for the first month from germination, I mix in a large watering can an even mix fertilizer (miracle Grow or something) 10-10-10 with a high phosphate fertilizer such as triple phosphate.

Once a week, after the first month, I mix an even mix fertilizer with a high nitrogren, such as Urea or Ammonium Sulphate.

Once a week, from the time I see the beginning of the flower bud until the plant flowers, I mix an even mix fertilizer with a high potash fertilizer, such as sulphate of potash.

Once a month, I usually spray the plant leaves with kelp meal so they can get trace elements.

Every year I experiment a bit, but generally this is what I do.

I'm curious..why the NY_NJ_Pa after your name? Also..when I come over Skyline Drive towards Rt 208....will your sunflowers be blocking my view of NYC? :)

Several reason I use the name Brian_NY_NJ_PA. One is that I was born and raised in Port Jervis, NY, which is right on the NY, NJ, PA border. The second reason is I tend three gardens: one at my house in NJ, one at my mom's old house in NY, and my wife's parents' house in PA.
