I'm new to gardening but didn't see a beginner's forum so I'm posting here. If this is not the appropriate place someone please let me know. My dilemma: I have ginger lily, clematis and cannas in my front yard - planted last fall in good soil. They are all about 6"-10" tall .. the leaves look rich & healthy. I was so excited to be planting that I failed to realize they aren't going to be getting much sun now because they're under 2 big oak trees. My question: Can I transplant them to a sunny spot & if so, what is the best time? One friend says to wait a couple of weeks, the other says do it now. Any opinions, advice or tips would be appreciated.
