My Newbie Strep Breakthrough!
Good day everyone,
I'm finally having success with my office Streps!
After struggling and learning for over a year, I have buds, blossoms and beautiful blooms.
Thank you all for your invaluable help! I figure if I can write in moaning with questions, I should write in with the good news, too:
My Rob's Very Berry is blooming (!) with more little nubs on some leaves that I think will become flowers, and other flower stems growing taller and lifting their heads.
It's fascinating to watch the flowers progress: uncurling their heads as the stem grows taller.
My littlest Streps "Heaven Scent" and "King of Kings" have healthy leaves and little bumps at the base of the leaves that are turning into flower stems.
Finally, the largest strep, my pride and joy - a Shenandoah Premiere - is vibrantly leafy and sending up multiple, tall flower stalks.
I still have so much to learn, but I think I've turned a corner! (Even my little Streps at home may live to reach maturity.)
My deepest thanks to all of you who share your knowledge so generously!
Warmest regards,
Dot
