No need to post my horror photo -- my Crimson Queen is the spitting image of yours. "I feel your pain". My pint-sized Viridis looks good except for the leaves that were touching the side of the trash can I slipped over it. Had a blanket over my Crimson Queen but didn't do a lick of good.

Which horror? The weigelas, deciduous azaleas, crape myrtles (who cares?), rose of sharon and the saddest,the shasta viburnum (in full bloom) all look like your photo. The other viburnums are gone too as are most regular azaleas. I hope my hydrangeas will still have buds.

What is fine? Roses and in full bloom, moonlight scotch broom. Another pink broom is fine too. I must buy more of those.

Today was spent washing sheets, blankets, quilts and towels. We can't have another freeze because I ain't doing that again! And, I had to pick tent caterpillars off most of the covers.

vroom, my maples look like yours. I didn't cover them because they are in the back yard, lower than the front and close to the house so I thought they'd be ok. The leaves are very wilted, but not crunchy (not yet). I did have some new growth that is damaged and will have to be cut off. But I pray they will be ok. Even stuff I covered was damaged, I don't think there is much more we could have done.
