Streptocarpus produced seed pod...questions

A streptocarpus I grew from seeds has been a vigourous grower for me. Recently a bloom fell off and a long narrow, twisted pod appeared. It has since dried and split, and to my surprise, is filled with hundreds of seeds. The plant has been indoors. Could it have been pollinated by the small fungus gnats that sometimes fly around my growing table. I am anxious to try the seeds and have questions as to whether they will be viable or not. Any direction would be appreciated since I am new to growing these wonderful plants. Thanks.
