Hedychium horsfieldii bloom photo

Here's a photo of a bloom on my Hedychium horsfieldii. I got the ginger last summer. It spends all of its time in my heated humid greenhouse. I'm afraid the dry air here in southern CA would kill it. Its got to be the strangest flower I have. I don't know what its going to do next. Is this the height of the bloom?

That is so awesome. What city are you in? I'm in Anaheim. I have 4 or 5 different gingers now, and am looking for a Greene's. How did you come by this one? Thanks for sharing it with us!

very nice but that is the seed formation which is actually prettier that the flower.you may try planting them. did you have other gingers blooming at the same time you may have a cross which could be nice.
