Can anyone ID this?

Leaves look like ginger of some sort. The flowers pictured are just emerging and young looking, total height of the stem and flowers pictured is around 4". They are a deep red with orange centers. Seeds are 1/4 - 3/8 inch diameter black hard round seeds like ball bearings in dried, papery pods surrounding flowers. Plants are about 5 feet tall and very upright. I collected tons of seeds from this plant and am wondering if it's even a ginger. If not, any ideas?
