What do I do?

My gloxinia stop flowering and the leaves were sagging. I read that these plants go into dormancy. I took the plant out and found the tuber with lots of roots. I went ahead and cut the leaves and spent flowers all the way down to the tuber. Should I pot the tuber? will this plant grow again?

Yes, it will. I usually leave mine in the pot and put it in a cool, low-light area(like a closet) and only water it about once a month. In the spring, bring it out, water it regularly and it will start growing. Hope this helps. Shelley

How cool? inside my apartment, is about 70-75 degrees. Outside at night the low right now is 65.

As long as you take it out of the light so that the tuber can rest. I would say to not let it get REALLY cold, like below the 50's. I've got one now that I and resting for the second time. I just stop watering, put it in a closet, and water about once month. Good luck. Shelley
