Nice to see that species has finally made it into cultivation in the US (outside the Smithsonian). I first saw it in 1999 on a collecting trip to Myanmar and was amazed, it was the best find of the trip. In the wild about 75% of individuals in a population are pink and 25% are white (basic Mendellian genetics at its finest!). Eventually some of the white and more intense pink strains will make it into cultivation I'm sure. Overall I much prefer it to C. alismatifolia, probably because it hasn't been bred to have giant washed out pink comas yet.

I think this will be the first of many exciting new introductions into the trade of plants from Myanmar. The country has incredible potential (as much or more than Thailand) but at this point is virtually unknown to botanists.
