Concinna grows like pusilla only with more difficulty all around. It is hard to set seed on, but, not impossible. Maryjane Evans was just about the only one to regularly produce seed for the seed fund. Since she passed away there hasn't been seed in the fund. I haven't seen this plant available in years and haven't grown it since the early 80's. But, I am glad to hear that there is still seed around.

I would guess it needs high humidity and to be under lights to set seed. I also think it would not self pollinate without help from you. The other way to propagate it is to remove crowns and reroot them. I recommend doing this. Spread it around too. I know there are many gesneriad growers who would love to grow it, in the 3G's chapter or in your violet society. Good luck with your little pinheads.

I know a couple of members of the 3GÂs. Even though I am not a member of their club they seem to like me. I see them every year at the African violet show in the spring and the gesnariad show in the fall. I also talk to them on the phone occasionally. They have been very generous to me in the past and I will definitely repay the favor if these grow to maturity. I'm definitely into sharing the wealth when it comes to plants. I don't understand people who have a plant and then keep it to themselves, so that they are the only ones who have it.
