Seedlings don't always come true to the parent. So you may get some white, some light pink ... you never know. If you really want another pink dogwood, it would be better to buy one (and it would be blooming size too).

I don't know how long they take to bloom from seed and I can't seem to find anything on the internet that says.

In my experience, it generally takes five years for a dogwood seedling to bloom.
One might have a bloom or two at four years, some take even longer.
They usually are about 4 or 5 feet tall when they have those first few blossoms.

I've never grown a pink dogwood, so can't speak to what the seedling colors might be, but I would expect mostly white.

Thanks, esh and Nell. Probably if I want another pink dogwood I'd better do as esh suggests. When my mother was my age she still had 21 years of life left- most of it good. I don't think I'll make her record.
