A lawnmower that sprays that weed killer while mowing.
A husband willing to push that mower.

Actually, I think that last one exists, I'm sure I've seen them in other people's yards. Mine just didn't come equipped with that function. ;-)

Hand pruners that emit a noise when I push a remote button. That' way I could find them. All garden tools should come with a finder button. Come to think of it, so should everything else I own - reading glasses, books, the dog.

over in the carolina forum, we fantasized about garden tools with homing beacons ... like beeping your cordless phone from the base station to locate it :)

Okay I was just talking about this at the plant trade. All you chemist types listen up. Please invent an herbicide that only works on grassy weeds, not broadleaf. You would think if we have herbicides that kill every type of weed and herbicides that only kill braodleaf but not the grass, then why can't we have a weed killer that only kills the grass but not the broadleaf plants. I am not a big chemical person but every once in while I do need them and this is the one that I was amazed did not exist.

esh I love your clipper idea, it would be great for killing japanese honeysuckle.

The other thing is a weed/brush killer dispenser that works with a sponge applicator to paint onto plants. I saw direction for how to make your own, but I would prefer to just buy one.

Sugarhill I am with you on the locator idea. The scary thing is the last 2 tools I couldn't locate turned out to be in the wierdest place when I finally found them--they were put away. Wonder who did that? No wonder I couldn't find them for a week.

Yeah that beeper idea, good one. For like - everything. Little locator buttons with sticker backs that beep and can be stuck to anything. Everything. One master remote control that can activate whichever one you need. It can have write-in labels for hand shovel, pruner, cultivator, that darned roll of twine I can never find when I need it, keys, checkbook, glasses.... kids maybe, husband, whatever you need them for.

Think of all the time people would save, and all the arguments that would be avoided by such a clever and useful thing as that.

It'd be a great invention. I'd buy 2.
