Hey there!

I have a long, 6' privacy fence that faces North. I would love to espalier along it, but have read that north walls don't get enough light.

What do you all think? I'd really like to cover the fence (ideally with an edible) but don't want to waste money on planting things that won't stand a chance if I can help it. If espalier won't work, how about a kiwi or other vine?
