Are you aware the hardiness for this tree is estimated to be USDA 10b and higher? I haven't seen these outside of miami.

My cousin went to Hawaii about 5 years ago wtih his girlfriend. Knowing my love for all plants they brought me back some goodies, one of which was a RP seedpod. They didn't know what it was, but they said it came from a beautiful orangey, red tree!

It was a big woody pod, and I was lucky enough to get two seeds to germinate. I have kept them in containers since and they've done pretty well. I'd love to have property where they can be grown in the ground! Here is photo from today.........

They are both exactly 1'5" to the tip of the emerging foliage.

Q, I do know of some that are doing well in Coastal GA but none inland. Thought I would give it a try.
