Maybe the recently named TS Andrea, now off the coast of GA/FL, will give the firefighters some help. It is already raining along the coast, from Saint Simons to Jacksonville.
Our daughter lives over on the south GA coast and she said the smoke had been terrible there, but the wind had changed and was now from the NE. Guess that's why the FL folks are seeing it. Maybe it be high enough in the atmosphere that those people don't have to breathe it, like so many in GA were forced to do.

Got up this a.m. and thick "fog", which turned out to be smoke. It is thinning out a bit now, 3.30pm. I live in s.w. Georgia.
